"WHY..." asks the Liberator product literature, "do you need Liberator Shapes?" Why indeed, was the question we had as well when we saw them mentioned in the March issue of Playboy. What could two wedge shaped pillows do to enhance our sex life any more than, say, a swing? Or another toy? We were skeptical, to say the least. Being the disciples of Playboy that we are, however, we decided to give this product a try and placed an order.

Two weeks later, a rather large box arrived and we anxiously unpacked the contents and started planning our tryout times. The first thing that struck us was how well packaged the products were. Aside from being snugly tucked into their sturdy shipping box, they are also encased in nylon tote bags, complete with shoulder straps. Unzipping them revealed two sturdy wedges, covered with smooth velvety micro-fiber material, which can be removed for washing. A similar nylon material covers the firm urethane core and adds yet another layer of sanitation to the product. Finally, a very nice instructional booklet is included, with illustrations to guide you to countless positions and ideas. It is clear that Liberator has put together their products with quality first and that they are built to last countless encounters. This more than justifies the $234.00 (for Ramp and Wedge set) price tag. Suddenly, our skepticism gave way to anxious anticipation and we couldn't wait to review them.

Unfortunately, with work, our little one, and an unanticipated guest staying for a few nights, the ramps went unused and had to be stowed under our bed (they fit easily) until we could find the right opportunity. When that opportunity finally came, we put those wedges to the test. Sex will never be the same.

We started out with the "Heart to Heart" position, shown in the picture below. This position utilized both the Wedge and the Ramp and was great for both oral AND intercourse. We added our own twist with the addition of one of our favorite sex toys (the Cate II vibrator). With the Wedge and Ramp firmly in place on our bed, the angle created allowed for amazingly deep penetration and easier manipulation of the vibe.
